The following blends are recipes to help:

Emotional Well-being

Stress Buster Massage Oil

2 drops Clary Sage essential oil

2 drops Frankincense essential oil

1 drop Sandalwood essential oil

Blend with 1 tblsp (15ml) of Almond or Grapeseed Oil. Give a relaxing massage particularly for back, neck and shoulders.


Stress Buster Bath

4 drops Bergamot essential oil

4 drops Geranium essential oil

2 drops Vetiver essential oil

Add to a warm bath and disperse well - or blend with 1tblsp grapeseed oil or 1 tblsp unscented bubble bath and add to a warm bath. Soak in the bath for 15-20 minutes inhaling the vapours. Do not get bath water in your eyes as it will sting.


Mental Re-energizer Bath

4 drops Basil essential oil

4 drops Lemon essential oil

2 drops Rosemary essential oil

Add to a warm bath and disperse well - or blend with 1tblsp grapeseed oil or 1 tblsp unscented bubble bath and add to a warm bath. Soak in the bath for 15-20 minutes inhaling the vapours. Do not get bath water in your eyes as it will sting.


Exam Tonic

Put 1-2 drops of either Basil or Rosemary essential oil on a tissue and sniff before sitting your exam. These oils clear the head and aid concentration.


Aphrodisiac Massage Oil

1 drop Black Pepper essential oil

1 drop Rose Otto essential oil

1 drop Ylang-ylang essential oil

Blend with 1 tblsp (15ml) of Almond or Grapeseed Oil. Turn the lights down low and use for a special massage - or add to a warm shared bath. Do not use on intimate areas though!


Calming Bath

4 drops German Chamomile (blue) essential oil

4 drops Mandarin essential oil

2 drops Sandalwood essential oil

Add to a warm bath and disperse well - or blend with 1tblsp grapeseed oil or 1 tblsp unscented bubble bath and add to a warm bath. Relax in the bath for 15-20 minutes inhaling the vapours. Do not get bath water in your eyes as it will sting.


Beat the Winter Blues Bath

4 drops Bergamot essential oil

4 drops Lemon essential oil

2 drops Ylang-ylang essential oil

Add to a warm bath and disperse well - or blend with 1tblsp grapeseed oil or 1 tblsp unscented bubble bath and add to a warm bath. Soak in the bath for 15-20 minutes inhaling the vapours. Do not get bath water in your eyes as it will sting.


Physical Well-being

Nasal Congestion Bath Blend

4 drops Niaouli essential oil

2 drops Rosemary essential oil

2 drops Tea Tree essential oil

Add to a warm bath and disperse well - or blend with 1tblsp grapeseed oil or 1 tblsp unscented bubble bath and add to a warm bath. Soak in the bath for 15-20 minutes inhaling the vapours. Do not get bath water in your eyes as it will sting.


Head Clearing Steam

1 drop Eucalyptus essential oil

1 drop Peppermint essential oil

1 drop Tea Tree essential oil

Add the oils to a bowl of very hot, steamy water. Put a towel over your head and inhale the vapours from the bowl for at least 5 minutes. Keep your eyes closed or they may sting.


Warming Bath

2 drops Benzoin essential oil

2 drops Ginger essential oil

4 drops Sweet Orange essential oil

Add to a warm bath and disperse well - or blend with 1tblsp grapeseed oil or 1 tblsp unscented bubble bath and add to a warm bath. Soak in the bath for 15-20 minutes inhaling the vapours. Do not get bath water in your eyes as it will sting.This bath is good for Winter time when you have been suffering from colds or chills.


Constipation Relief Massage Blend

1 drop Black Pepper essential oil

1 drop Lavender essential oil

1 drop Sweet Marjoram essential oil

Blend with 1 tblsp (15ml) of Almond or Grapeseed Oil. Massage back, neck and shoulders and then give a gentle massage over the lower abdomen using clockwise circular movements.


Headache Relief Massage Blend

2 drops Lavender essential oil

2 drops Sweet Marjoram essential oil

1 drop Peppermint essential oil

Blend with 1 tblsp (15ml) of Almond or Grapeseed Oil. Give a firm massage to upper back, neck and shoulders. Alternatively put 1-2 drops of Peppermint or Lavender essential oil on a tissue and inhale.


Muscle Soothing Bath

3 drops Black Pepper essential oil

5 drops Grapefruit essential oil

2 drops Rosemary essential oil

Add to a very warm bath and disperse well - or blend with 1tblsp grapeseed oil or 1 tblsp unscented bubble bath and add to a warm bath. Soak in the bath for 15-20 minutes inhaling the vapours. Do not get bath water in your eyes as it will sting.


Muscle Rub

2 drops Eucalyptus essential oil

2 drops Ginger essential oil

2 drops Peppermint essential oil

Blend with 1tblsp (15ml) of grapeseed oil and massage firmly into affected area - particularly good for legs.


Sleep-inducing Massage Oil

2 drops Lavender essential oil

2 drops Sweet Marjoram essential oil

1 drop Vetiver essential oil

Blend with 1tblsp (15ml) of Sweet Almond or Grapeseed oil and give a gentle, soothing massage.


Sleepy Head Bath Blend

4 drops Roman Chamomile essential oil

4 drops Clary Sage essential oil

2 drops Neroli essential oil

Add to a warm bath and disperse well - or blend with 1tblsp grapeseed oil or 1 tblsp unscented bubble bath and add to a warm bath. Soak in the bath for 15-20 minutes inhaling the vapours. Do not get bath water in your eyes as it will sting.


Premenstrual Tension Buster Massage Oil

2 drops Clary Sage essential oil

2 drops Sweet Fennel essential oil

2 drops Geranium essential oil

Blend with 1tblsp (15ml) of Sweet Almond or Grapeseed oil and give a soothing, relaxing full body massage.

Alternatively use a blend of these oils in a bath - adding them directly to the water or blending first with an unperfumed bubble bath.


Over-indulgence Fixer Bath

3 drops Sweet Fennel essential oil

3 drops Grapefruit essential oil

3 drops Lime essential oil

Add to a warm bath and disperse well - or blend with 1tblsp grapeseed oil or 1 tblsp unscented bubble bath or shampoo and add to a warm bath. Soak in the bath for 15-20 minutes inhaling the vapours. Do not get bath water in your eyes as it will sting.


Feet Treat

2 drops Geranium essential oil

2 drops Lavender essential oil

1 drop Peppermint essential oil

Blend with 1 tblsp (15ml) Sweet Almond oil and massage firmly into tired feet. Alternatively add the blend to a bowl of warm water and soak the feet for 10 mins and then pat dry.


Head Lice Bug Buster Treatment

1 drop Eucalyptus essential oil

1 drop Lavender essential oil

2 drops Tea Tree essential oil

Blend with 1 tblsp (15ml) Sunflower oil and massage into the scalp. Cover with a plastic shower cap and leave on for an hour or overnight. Shampoo out the next morning - rub the shampoo in before adding water to get rid of the greasiness of the oil. As a preventative measure add 2 drops of Tea Tree oil and 1 drop of lavender oil to 1 tsp of mild shampoo and use to shampoo hair.


Skin-care & Beauty

Beat the Wrinkles Mature Skin Cream

25ml plain Base Cream

5ml Wheatgerm Oil

5ml Evening Primrose Oil

4 drops Frankincense essential oil

4 drops Petitgrain essential oil

3 drops Rose Otto essential oil

Blend the oils well into the cream and store in an airtight glass jar (preferably made of dark coloured glass). Apply regularly to the face and neck - morning and night.


Nourishing Dry Skin Cream

25ml plain Base Cream

5ml Wheatgerm Oil

5ml Apricot Kernel Oil

4 drops Roman Chamomile essential oil

3 drops Rose Otto essential oil

3 drops Sandalwood essential oil

Blend the oils well into the cream and store in an airtight glass jar (preferably made of dark coloured glass). Apply regularly to the face and neck - morning and night.


Brighten-Up Skin Cream for Dull & Congested Skin

25ml plain Base Cream

5ml Wheatgerm Oil

5ml Hazelnut Oil

4 drops Grapefruit essential oil

4 drops Mandarin essential oil

3 drops Ylang-ylang essential oil

Blend the oils well into the cream and store in an airtight glass jar (preferably made of dark coloured glass). Apply regularly to the face and neck - morning and night.


Eczema Relief Massage Oil

2 drops Roman Chamomile essential oil

2 drops Lavender essential oil

1 drop Rose Otto essential oil

Blend the essential oils into 1tbsp (15ml) of Grapeseed Oil with 1 tsp (5ml) of Calendular Oil. Massage the oil into the affected areas. Alternatively add 2 drops each of Roman Chamomile, Lavender and Rose Otto essential oils to a warm bath and soak the affected area for about 10 minutes. A handful of baking soda can also be added to the water to relieve itching.


Blends for the Home

Christmas Cheer Vapourizer Blend

2 drops Clove Bud essential oil

4 drops Frankincense essential oil

4 drops Sweet Orange essential oil

Add the oils to a tablespoon of water and put in the top of the vapourizer. Light a night-light underneath and allow the oils to evaporate into the room. Remember to extinguish the candle once the liqud has evaporated.


Bacteria Buster Vapourizer Blend

4 drops Bergamot essential oil

4 drops Lemon essential oil

2 drops Tea Tree essential oil

Add the oils to a tablespoon of water and put in the top of the vapourizer. Light a night-light underneath and allow the oils to evaporate into the room. Remember to extinguish the candle once the liqud has evaporated.


Sensual Vapourizer Blend

4 drops Geranium essential oil

2 drops Jasmine essential oil

2 drops Patchouli essential oil

Add the oils to a tablespoon of water and put in the top of the vapourizer. Light a night-light underneath and allow the oils to evaporate into the room. Remember to extinguish the candles once the liqud has evaporated.


Uplifting Vapourizer Blend

3 drops Sweet Fennel essential oil

4 drops Lemon essential oil

3 drops Sweet Marjoram essential oil

Add the oils to a tablespoon of water and put in the top of the vapourizer. Light a night-light underneath and allow the oils to evaporate into the room. Remember to extinguish the candles once the liqud has evaporated.
